1. Understand clearly what the B2B model on Alibaba is

  • Alibaba.comis a B2B (Business to Business) e-commerce platform, connecting global buyers with suppliers, manufacturers and exporters.

  • Unlike B2C (like Shopee or Amazon), Alibaba focuses on bulk transactions and international exports.

  • Understanding how the B2B model works on Alibaba is the first step to properly orienting your strategy.

For example:Vietnamese businesses selling roasted coffee, organic rice, or handicrafts can reach thousands of distributors and agents in Europe, America, and the Middle East without having to participate in traditional fairs.

2. Ensuring product quality - the foundation of reputation

Quality is a core factor in every B2B transaction. On Alibaba, buyers often request quality certification (COA, ISO, HACCP, FDA, SGS...) to ensure the product meets international standards. A good product helps increase conversion rates and retain long-term buyers.

9. International shipping and logistics management

A little-noticed but extremely important factor is shipping and export documents. Buyers appreciate suppliers who are able to process orders quickly, professionally, and in accordance with the process.
